Culture is the Framework for Basic Human Impulses

What does this mean?! Basic human impulses include activities such as eating. As a human, you need food and water in order to live. Your culture can significantly shape what you eat and drink. Hipsters are known for being environmentally conscious which is also reflected in their food choices. Such food choices usually are organic and/or local. Whole Foods, Wheatsville Co-op, and a handful of Austin restaurants such as 24-Diner are known for being just that, organic and local. Walk into the Whole Foods in Downtown Austin and most of the employees and a high percentage of customers are hipsters, embodying this value of eating all natural.

Getting a little thirsty while reading our blog? That's a basic human impulse too. Hipsters are infamous for their love of  Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR).
